No Regrets

Wish I asked lesser questions,

Would have made more friends,

But knowledge turned out to be a good friend

Wish I rebelled a little less,

Would have been liked by more,

But maybe wouldn't have liked myself much

Wish I dressed up more often,

More compliments my way would have been nice,

But then I found beauty all around me

Wish I had taken those advices seriously,

My life would look cleaner with less mistakes,

However, I doubt I would have learnt enough

Wish I faked and been chirpier and funnier person,

Easily could have broken popularity charts,

Yes, but that would have lasted only in social media world

Wish I obeyed and stuck to ways of the world,

People would have judged me a little less,

Hmm..nopes fun is to walk the talk

Wish I was more focused and ambitious,

Success, fame and wealth would have been a charm,

But how much charm should I chase in this one little life ?

Wish I climbed those steps...Wish this and that,

Then life would have been a bed of roses,

Alas, I would have failed to recognize the real me

Now I wish people leave those regrets aside,

Move ahead and accept the reflection inside

Kaleidoscope

Life has come a vicious circle,

A topsy-turvy journey of memories fickle.

When I was young, I wished people took me seriously,

Now I hope they treat me more causally.

Life was fun when it just meant owning a doll,

Funnier is now when life itself has becomes a call.

As a kid I craved for new books for ages,

Now I miss smell of old rusty book edges.

When mistakes just required an eraser,

Not when it makes a heart of anger.

When numbers were your checkered Maths homework,

Not a judge of your performance networth.

When buying house fetched you rent in Monopoly,

Not establish your stand in the society.

When colours were just strokes of your creativity,

Alas, not the colours life throws at you to check your audacity.

When tears didn’t declare you an emotional fool,

Although, it served no purpose or goal.

I replay the tapes of my childhood again and again,

Yet to figure out what made me today so sane.

My Life’s cure……………

I don’t know when life became like this,
My memory gives me a miss.
I feel I have lived in this misery forever.
Is it true that I won’t forget it ever?
Throughout my life I dreamed so big,
Chased my dreams with all my might,
But what became of my plight.
But when did the maps lead me wrong,
When did the tunes change the song?
Sometimes I feel so alone, so low,
And the tears are also hollow.
I miss being a part of my past,
I miss being a child at last.
So free was my soul,
Not empty as a hole.
Then what has changed over these years,
Why doesn’t happiness ring my ears?
Is this the cost of being mature?
Would I ever be able to find a cure……….
